Our Story
Get to Know Us
Constellation Group of Companies was founded in November, 2018, by educational leaders John Milne and Samantha Packer. Now in its sixth year,
Constellation Group provide schools, universities, students, families and education-related businesses a single point of contact for a full range of services from global school and university placement, business development consultancy and online schooling in both the UK and overseas.
Constellation Group is run by a team of experts, all of whom share common values.
The team has expanded with Jimmy Beale, and latterly, Alastair Montgomery, joining in 2019 and 2021, respectively, as Managing Directors and Co-Founders of The English Education and The Academic Profiling Test. Chrisie Nimenko is the Managing Director and Principal of Bristol Tutorial College and Bristol International College Online.

Founded: 2015
Audience: Families seeking placement for a child at a UK independent day and boarding school
The English Education provides tailored and impartial advice to clients from all over the world who seek to send their children to UK independent day and boarding schools. We ensure that the right school is chosen, with a strong focus on the individual aims, aspirations and needs of both the family and child.

Academic Profiling Tests (APT)
Founded: 2020
Audience: Education advisors, consultancies, tutoring companies
The Academic Profiling Test (APT) has been created to provide a comprehensive assessment of a student’s academic skills. It is a collaboration between experts in assessment, former headmasters and educationalists, using the highest quality teacher-written test questions and adaptive technology.
The APT is an evaluative measure that can be used to demonstrate performance to future schools or monitor academic progress, or even as familiarisation for other reasoning-type tests such as UKiset, ISEB Pretest or 11+/13+ entrance examinations. Candidates can be assessed from 6 to 16 years old and the assessment tests academic potential by looking at core academic skills in English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal processing.
Bristol International College
Online
Founded: 2019
Audience: Students seeking online courses and support in getting UK qualifications and applying to UK institutions
Bristol International College Online (BIC Online) is an independent sixth form college and University of London Recognised Teaching Centre located in the heart of Bristol, a thriving, multi-cultural city in the south-west of England and just over 90 minutes from London and Heathrow airport.
The College is approved to teach a range of online courses including IGCSEs, a post-16 Diploma in Business & Management and IELTS preparation for students who are yet to travel to the UK.
All courses offered by BIC combine the best of British education with a global perspective.​​
Spotlight Education
Founded: 2022
Audience: Parents seeking independent information and support regarding their child's academic ability progress
Across four key areas of learning, Spotlight provides an independent, holistic overview of a child’s academic ability. It helps identify learning gaps and illuminate strengths, comparing results against national standards, to produce a report unique to each child.
Once parents have had time to digest the report, Spotlight provides a 30-minute post-assessment feedback session to address any questions parents might have and chat through the results to see what they have revealed.
Finally, Spotlight sends recommended next steps – individually tailored for each family – which will include contact details for any of our relevant, trusted partners who can help your child achieve their full potential.

Bristol Tutorial College recognises that, for many sixth-formers, they may have outgrown the traditional school structure and may also desire a slightly different approach to their educational needs. Whether it’s a bespoke A-Level provision, or resits because a student has missed an important grade, small class sizes and a more personalised approach from our subject specialist teachers awaits.

​Our pastoral team offers a wide range of tailored support to help students achieve both academically and with their personal wellbeing, too. In addition to 1-1 tutorial support from teachers, as a recognised UCAS centre, we will help students navigate their choice of future universities and careers.
